Requirements
  • Dental degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association or foreign equivalent. DDS/DMD degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligibility to obtain a West Virginia dental license or West Virginia teaching permit (Please visit the West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners for information regarding licensure).
  • Current BLS certification recognized by the American Heart Association.
  • Applicants should have expertise in all aspects of general restorative dentistry.
  • The successful candidate will have a history of documented competence in clinical practice, teaching, administration, and demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • We are looking for applicants who are committed to educating and mentoring dental students to be technically proficient in all aspects of primary oral health care and restorative dentistry; successful candidates are highly motivated, innovative, and work well in teams.

Responsibilities
  • The primary responsibility involves didactic and clinical teaching in restorative dentistry for predoctoral students, high quality scholarly activity, service-related activities, and faculty practice.
  • The department provides clinical coverage to the urgent care clinic.
